Exfoliation of the skin is essential in alleviating the dull and aged appearance that dead un-exfoliated skin portrays. One of the most effective methods of exfoliation is using alpha-hydroxyl acids to peel away the upper layer of the epidermis, exposing fresh and radiant new skin below.

Lonsdaleite Fruit Acid Gel 7.5% with Kojic Acid is an exfoliating masterpiece that uses 3 of the most effective and natural alpha-hydroxyl acids. Along with Kojic Acid to deliver a superior exfoliation experience in a soothing and skin nourishing gel.

Glycolic Acid, Pyruvic Acid and Lactic Acid deeply penetrates the skin. This dynamic formulation removes dead skin and revives the complexion in a delicate and calculated manner. With 7.5% Kojic Acid added this formula diminishes unwanted surface spots by reducing discoloration, leaving your skin feeling perfectly smooth and even toned.

How does fruit acid gel work

Glycolic acid occurs naturally as a trace component in sugarcane, grapes and other fruits. As the first in the alpha-hydroxyl carboxylic acids, it is one of the smallest molecules with acid functionality that easily penetrates the skin.

This useful organic acid reacts with the upper layer of the epidermis by weakening the binding properties of the lipids that holds dead skin cells together, dislodging them to reveal fresh new cells beneath.

Lactic Acid is another excellent alpha-hydroxyl acid that usually occurs in sour milk, but is also found in molasses due to partial conversion of sugars in apples and other fruits. With a natural affinity to the skin, it is very effective at exfoliating and softening the surface.

Pyruvic Acid is the third alpha-hydraoxy acid included in this superb formula. As an intermediate in sugar metabolism found in Cane sugar juice and a precursor to lactic acid, Pyruvic acid is excellent for treating oily and problematic skin, with excellent dead skin removal abilities.

Finally, the Londsaleite Fruit Acid Gel includes Kojic acid. Kojic Acid is a natural by-product in the fermentation process of malting rice and is a mild pigment inhibitor. Fruit Acid Gel helps brighten the skin by preventing the activity of tyrossinase, an essential enzyme for the synthesis of Melanin.
